The Captain Briggs House is a beautifully restored 1853 shipbuilder’s home, and the rooms are comfortable, bright and cheerful. All rooms have private baths and are air-conditioned, non-smoking and dog friendly. For your convenience we have a small refrigerator in the common room and free wireless Internet throughout the Inn. We’ll start your day out right with a hearty full breakfast – at no extra charge.

The Freeport area is a central location and a beautiful rest spot for those family members wishing to visit either the local colleges such as Bates, Bowdoin, Colby or one of the other colleges in Southern Maine or wishing to visit during Campers or Parents Weekends. Many of you come up to see your kids halfway through their experience.

All rooms in the Freeport area fill up fast!! Many of these spots are reserved in the fall or even a year before. We encourage you to book early or even a year in advance. Listed below are some of the dates we know of now.
